The Course

The Ohlone 50K is a point-to-point race traversing the entire Ohlone Wilderness Trail, a tough 31 mile distance run on trails and fire roads. The trail crosses sections of four East Bay Regional ParklandsMission Peak Regional Preserve, Sunol Regional Wilderness, Ohlone Regional Wilderness, and Del Valle Regional Park.

Awards

  • The North Face Gear Packages for 1st overall man and woman
  • ZombieRunner Rookie of the Year prize packages for first man and woman competing in their first ultra
  • Trail post awards the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place men and women overall
  • Trail post awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place men and women in each age division
  • Trail plaques are awarded to all other finishers.

Age Group Divisions

Age group divisions, for both men and women, are: 29 and under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and above.

USATF Ultra Grand Prix

This race is a championship event in the Pacific Association Ultra Grand Prix Series. You do not need to be a member of the Pacific Association of the USA Track & Field Association in order to participate, but you do have to be a member in order to qualify for Grand Prix points.

Trail Running Magazine Trophy Series

This race is part of the Trophy Series sponsored by Trail Runner Magazine. All registered runners will earn Trophy Series points towards prizes awarded by Trail Runner.

Transportation

Transportation from the finish area in Del Valle Regional Park to the start at Mission Peak is provided prior to the race. This service is included in the entry fee and all runners are encouraged to take advantage of it. 

Refunds and Transfers

Registration fees are not refundable. However, you can transfer your entry to another runner until the May 1 early registration deadline. Transfers require a minimum $25 donation payable to the Regional Parks Foundation. See our Transfer Procedure for details.
